More about Alice:

I specialize in working with young adults (ages 18–35), a group I feel deeply connected to through my experience as a university teacher for over 10 years and as a mentor in a young adult fellowship at my local church for 5 years. I understand the unique pressures and transitions of this stage of life and offer a grounded, empathetic presence to support clients through it.

As a middle-aged woman, I also resonate with the challenges faced by women under 50, whether navigating relationships, career shifts, motherhood, or personal identity. My approach is warm, collaborative, and attuned to the emotional complexity of these life phases.

In addition, as a mother with a teenage boy, I welcome the opportunity to support teenagers (ages 13–18). I understand how overwhelming adolescence can be and offer a space where teens can feel heard, validated, and supported as they find their voice.

My clinical foundation is rooted in Person-Centred Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), through my training in the Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology program at Yorkville University. I also integrate elements of other evidence-based approaches, including emotionally focused therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Gestalt Therapy, and motivational interviewing, which I gained through both academic training and practical experience. My time on a mental health hotline has strengthened my skills in Narrative Therapy and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), enhancing my ability to help clients re-author their stories and move toward meaningful change.

Whether you're seeking support for a transition, emotional healing, or a clearer sense of direction, I aim to provide a counselling experience that is thoughtful, respectful, and uniquely tailored to your journey.
