Shari Glenn
Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology Candidate
With over 35 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in primary health care, half of that as a Nurse Practitioner, Shari brings a deep appreciation for the complexity of the human experience, across the lifespan and in times of transition.
Now a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), Shari offers a client-centred and integrative counselling approach.
She has a particular interest in grief and loss (including pet bereavement), caregiver fatigue, front-line health provider stress, and life transitions such as menopause, career change, and retirement. Shari is especially passionate about helping those who spend their lives caring for others find space for their own needs and stories. She draws on solution-focused techniques to help clients envision meaningful change, identify strengths, and take practical steps forward.
Her guiding philosophy, "Your story matters, your strength leads", reflects her commitment to honouring the client’s voice and inner wisdom. Therapy with Shari is a respectful, collaborative process where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered on their path toward healing and renewal.
More About Me:
I’m Shari - I’m happiest when I’m outdoors with Labrador Retrievers- black, yellow but especially “chocolates”—training, swimming, and wandering with them off the beaten track. I tend my garden (otherwise known as my weeds) with a mix of humour and hope, and I love bringing new life into old furniture pieces through small, creative transformations. In the kitchen, I enjoy cooking and experimenting with new foods, playing with flavours and recipes just to see what might work. I’m also an advocate for health service access equity and try to live that value through my ongoing work and volunteerism. To stay grounded, I continue to learn and practice yoga and restorative movement, and I’m endlessly curious about the many diverse and infinite expressions of the world’s religions and spiritualities.
